Scott Planer*

Scott joined the Capstone Financial Group in 2018 after being an independent advisor for 10 years in Sacramento and the Bay Area. He enjoyed a successful management career in the retail industry before making the transition into the Financial Services industry as a Financial Representative. This background gives him the foundation to provide his clients with professional service. He knows the value of having a skilled and experienced professional to navigate and direct the creation of a financial strategy, and then assisting in its execution. He works hard to not only create and implement the strategy, but also help the client gain confidence in understanding the work they are doing together.

He is securities registered with Ameritas Investment Company, LLC currently holding the Series 6, 63 and 65 securities registrations. He also is a licensed Life Insurance Agent. His experience includes the management of multiple retirement plans for businesses, working with union employees who have pensions, as well as helping individual and families plan for the future.

He is serving as an Ambassador with the Rocklin Chamber of Commerce and leads them as the Co-Chairman of the Chamber Ambassadors. He is also a member of the Rocklin Chamber networking group, Sunrise with the Chamber.

Scott and his wife Dena relocated their family from San Jose, CA to Roseville, CA in 2003. Here they raised their two boys: Joseph, who serves as a member of The U.S. Army National Guard, and Jake, who is attending school in Long Beach, CA. The family then moved to Lincoln, CA in 2015.

He is a passionate ice hockey fan and has enjoyed playing hockey for over 20 years. Scott recently picked up the game of golf and also enjoys weight-training.
